This week on Record Time, the Keepers of the Akashic Records offer us a remarkable invitation. They share:

Steep deeply in the wonder of your practice.

I invite you to pause for a moment and take that in. Before reading on and taking in what I have to share around that, first just see what that evokes for you.

What does it mean to you, to steep deeply in the wonders of your practice?

You might not even need to read more, after contemplating it for yourself 🙂

But if you’re curious – here’s one way to consider this invitation. When our external world, our life, changes or becomes very chaotic, it can be tempting to think that we also need to change in order to respond to it – that might include our practice.

This very well might be true. We might need to adjust ourselves and our practice in order to respond to external changes. However, what the Records are offering us is that we don’t need to totally throw our existing practices out the window, when our outer life changes.

That might seem obvious, but sometimes when our outer world changes, things are hectic and we feel more stressed, we can start to think that the practice that once worked for us isn’t good enough anymore. Doubt might creep in and we may feel that our old practices aren’t working anymore, so we MUST get rid of them and try something new, different, bigger, trendier, and better. (You could also feel this temptation to “throw away” your practice when you feel bored, or just want something new, or you see your friend trying something new and you also want to do it.)

That could be true, but it’s not always true.

Especially if we have found resonance and value with a practice in the past (if we found something that really works for us), it could be worthwhile to stick to your practice even when you feel the temptation to toss it out and try something new.

While of course there is value in exploring new things and allowing your practice to ebb and evolve over time, there is also great wonder awaiting us in the depths of our practice.

If we jump from practice to practice without allowing the time to cultivate depth – we may never experience the deeper potential of ANY practice. Because depth takes time to cultivate. We have to spend some time in one place in order to go deep there.

That’s what the Records are sharing with us here. You can receive the full Akashic Transmission on the wonders of a deep practice by watching the video below!

If you explore this invitation, I’d love to know what you discover for yourself! Feel free to comment on this post and share what resonated with you!

And if you know someone that might need a little inspiration around their personal practice, please share this video with them and spread the goodness!
