Coming to terms with all the old patterns and beliefs that we’ve carried for so long can be painful. Recognizing how much you’ve suffered, how unfair it feels, how sad it all is, is challenging enough, but to then let it all go is a sincere evolution. We carry our baggage of limiting beliefs and toxic protective patterns so far, and hold it so close to us that it can almost be hard to part ways with it. After all, it’s been through so much with you, it’s like letting go of and mourning an old version of yourself. Here’s a poem to honor that process, and to honor the messy history of us and our old stories.
